I've been working on a little side project, an ambient scene with an animated background and music. It's all in a watercolour style, and I want to place Celestia in the scene with two views. I'm looking for a collaborator who would like to see their watercolour rendition of Celestia become animated!
Ideally it would be a digital watercolour with the body, mane, tail each in separated layers. However, if you prefer real paper and water, a hand-painting on a blank white canvas would work as well!
The two views I'm looking for;
1) a distant 3/4 view, seeing Celestia from above and behind. She is turned slightly so that we see her right side. Her body language is quiet, as if in deep reflection. Her entire body is in the shot.
2) on a 16:9 canvas, a close-up profile view of Celestia's face. Her head takes up most of the right side of the canvas. Her mane is partially visible behind her. Her eyes are closed. Her face shows that she is troubled.
If you or someone you know are seriously interested, send a note my way! I can send you the scene she will be placed in for reference. I will update this journal article once I have a confirmed artist, so if you are reading this right now, I'm still looking for someone! ...is it you?

Not dead!
...just super busy.
Still hoping to post something once in a while. I've been using my spare time to try and pick up some 3D skills!
Blender, here we come! :D

Art Questions:
How do you make these animated pictures?
I've over the last couple years moved on to Adobe After Effects, which a very powerful but also complicated animation/editing program. Most of what I produce now has been edited from the original in Photoshop to create puppet pieces, and then these pieces are animated in After Effects.
How can I learn to use the programs you use?
I highly recommend using an online tutorial, there are lots of them out there. My personal favorite is Lynda.com. This is where I learned how to use Photoshop and After Effects. They have very good introductory courses for you to follow along with, and
Life Changes
Time goes on and responsibilities change at big moments in our lives. I'm about to reach one of those moments, and soon I won't be able to spend the time creating animations like I have in the past.
I'm not leaving, I love this unexpected fandom and all the passion it's created. I just will be in more of a watching role than a creating role in the future. Thank you all for following me on here, and appreciating the results of this hobby of mine! I'm always in awe of all the wonderful art we create together.
There will be occasional posts here or there, when I find a little bite of spare time.
I'm excited to see the art you go on to create
Cider Party Collab
The Ponies at Dawn Anthology Album is almost upon us! I had the pleasure of collaborating to create the video animation for "Ghost in the Dream", which is linked above. If you're like me and love electronic music, this has your name all over it! Check out the album preview over on Soundcloud!
